According to a report from Sportsnet, Peter Forsberg will remain in Europe this season. It is said that Forsberg told Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis that he will remain in Sweden this season.
After speaking with Forsberg on Monday morning, Gillis confirmed the news. Forsberg signed a contract with the Colorado Avalanche for the remainder of the season in 2008, but played in just nine games because of a groin injury.
Forsberg will play the rest of the season in Sweden with MoDo of the Swedish Elite League.
